Am i the only one who thought the barn was pure luck.

He cocked up and got away with it.

It was a disaster brought back from the brink with quick thinking and spun sugar
I'm hooked as well.

I'm equally fascinated and repelled by Paul Hollywood's hair and beard - surely that can't be natural can it?

Mary Berry is a classic in her own lifetime, Sue Perkins (should be somewhere else being funny again, but what the hell) is good and the other one whose name I can never remember is jolly nice as well.
Mel Giedroyc - she's great as well. Funny in a non-patronising way.

I agree with Peteaud - it was a mess and he got away with it.

I think he'll be kept in as he's good and unusual but will make 1 major cock-up and solid old Brendan will plod home.

It's a photo of me taken last week round at my nan's - she provides the fairy cakes, tea and ganja.

I usually take a nice bottle of sweet sherry for her.

It's not real... it's only a programme  ... didn't like any of them, should have been Kathryn- just for the death-ray looks she gave the grey bloke.

Mary Berry is lovely.

Once James slipped up on stage 1, Brendan and John were more or less level pegging but they both made mistakes on the second bake and on the third, John's chocolate cake was in a different league to Brendan's. You could argue that Brendan was more consistent over the series but it was about winning the final.

Not that I should be analysing it too closely  One of the reasons this programme is so engaging is that it doesn't take itself too seriously - it's competitive without cramming in a load of fake drama and doom music. It is also full of cake. Lovely, lovely cake. Mmmmm.
