Taking the biscuit
I've found a cycle path/route in London that actually helps my journey!

In the last few weeks I've been testing out different routes to work and have decided that the less I have to ride the South Circular during the morning rush hour/ school run the better.

Now I have discovered this cycle route which takes me to my next junction without having to contend with impatient drivers, buses, HGV's and all.

It's only 800 feet long, but it's a start!

Innit!

As a great man once said, 'A commute of 8 miles starts with an 800 foot cycle path.'.

Oh and a clever piece of design, a high outer curb roadside, means that the broken glass and peds stay on the path!

Odd bits do exist all over the country. Outnumbered in length and quantity by the totally useless bits though...

Well miracles never cease  Can we take this as a sign of more well-thought out cycle paths to come? I would like smoother road (or cycle path) surfaces, the Mall is pretty noticeable on my Brompton
