The phone is a bloomin' good idea, Dan. Trouble is, she needs glasses but won't wear them so can't read the text on her phone. She needs one with a huge screen and big text and buttons.
If it came loaded with the theme of Ski Sunday as a ringtone I might, might just survive....

Ok, well here's what I'm buying for various people:
A book of the Radio 4 show In Our Time, some nice lavender soap, a pashmina, a lavender coloured ceramic pot, some 'old lady' type toiletries, some Elizabeth Arden creme face jollop, a book of cookie recipes, a book on cosmic theory, a Haynes manual for Thomas the tank engine, a Hairy Maclary book, a wooden car transporter train and a record.
Any of those any good?

I would love iTune vouchers (if vouchers aren't a big no-no for you). She can get music or an audio book with them. Also, if she likes jumpers, would a lush woolly scarf be appreciated? Look at the colours she normally wears and try to match up / compliment her choice.
Our local TKMax has some fantastic scarves that I covet every time I go in, with prices from a tenner to £50+
