Sunday afternoon I felt a twinge and slight pain around the shin area of my right leg.
Monday it was sore and when walking it felt like a shinsplint pain. Just put it down to that or a pulled muscle as i walked it off a bit when out and about. Tuesday the pain was sharper and Wednesday it was worse with my leg starting to swell up pretty bad. Went to bed on Wednesday night and yesterday morning it was agony. By yesterday afternoon I literally couldn't walk.
Now I've only ever been to casualty once in my life and didn't know about it till the next morning as I got knocked down by a taxi in Glasgow city centre one Friday night walking home pished. But yesterday I was starting to get a bit worried as the swelling was mental and it was all red, so I bit the bullet and jumped in a taxi up to A&E. and you'll not believe it but the taxi driver was the one who knocked me down 10 years ago!!!
(only kidding but that would have been funny)
Anyway
After 3 hours and a few tests turns out I have an infection in my leg. Got a pain killing injection, painkillers and antibiotics. I've to rest it for a few days and see how it goes. They also kindly drew around the infected area with a marker pen so I can keep an eye on it if it gets worse. A fact that Mrs greedo finds highly amusing as it looks like the map of Africa. She'll not be laughing when she see's the sheets though as some came off last night
Strange thing is though I've not cut my foot or leg so how the hell did i get an infection???????
