Well...in support of this thread, and silliness generally, I looked up O. Wilde. (more famous for his 'bons mots' than his poetry a la dreary) and found scant mention of dogs.
THEOCRITUS (A Villanelle)

      SINGER of Persephone!
      In the dim meadows desolate
      Dost thou remember Sicily?
      Still through the ivy flits the bee
      Where Amaryllis lies in state;
      O Singer of Persephone!
      Simætha calls on Hecate
      And hears the wild dogs at the gate;
      Dost thou remember Sicily?
      Still by the light and laughing sea
      Poor Polypheme bemoans his fate;
      O Singer of Persephone!
      And still in boyish rivalry
      Young Daphnis challenges his mate;
      Dost thou remember Sicily?
      Slim Lacon keeps a goat for thee,
      For thee the jocund shepherds wait;
      O Singer of Persephone!
      Dost thou remember Sicily?

      That'll do - 'wild dogs'...unless we see a pic. of Oscar snoozing with his favourite cuddly toy.:popcorn:

      A propos nuffink, alternatively, re: hair, perhaps this one might do?

      REQUIESCAT

      by: Oscar Wilde

      READ lightly, she is near
      Under the snow,
      Speak gently, she can hear
      The daisies grow.

      All her bright golden hair
      Tarnished with rust,
      She that was young and fair
      Fallen to dust.

      Lily-like, white as snow,
      She hardly knew
      She was a woman, so
      Sweetly she grew.

      Coffin-board, heavy stone,
      Lie on her breast,
      I vex my heart alone,
      She is at rest.

      Peace, peace, she cannot hear
      Lyre or sonnet,
      All my life's buried here,
      Heap earth upon it.

      "Sit, Oscar...sit I said" ^_^
