Gibbyent, I know what you mean about cycling in Norwich ...there are some idiots...but actually, the past few times I've been I've been okay.
Nice work!
I have had a bad time recently. Yesterday, there is a cycle lane that I have had so many problems with that I refuse to use it, deliberate close pass, horn pointing at cycle lane. Today 2/3 of the way up a hill exhausted as I still have the dregs of a virus, narrow road 3 cars parked on oposite side, passed the first one, Black Cab decides he doesn't want to wait to over take the park cars so drives straight at me forcing me to take avoiding action.

It is amazing use how much damage you can do to a car with a D-lock:evil:, not that I would ever threaten to do so my self....

I've played chicken with a 4x4 that decided to pull into my lane...I won.... (but it was weekend) but you'll lose to a black cab...

It get's better - I had a bad month from late December....knocked off once, nearly hit two times.....

I can barely believe it. I got "honked" at again by some fat little man as I was going past a traffic island. I was filming at the time and could show you, but even when the road split into 2 lanes he never actually got past due to the big line of cars! It really annoyed me as I had to slow right down so I could stick my tongue out at him!! Saying that after I blew my cheeks out to do an impression of a fat man he did start laughing.

I'm getting used to being passed close now, when you think about it how many times are cyclists struck from behind by cars ? I know it's not right but it's a fact of life that cars will pass too close.

As for drivers giving you grief, how bad must your life be for you to be that stressed an hour after getting up? Road rage is proof that money cannot buy you happiness, your 80 grand car is still not getting you any closer to your city centre job or £1,000,000 "property".

Am I the only one on here that this has happened to? I know someone else that it happened to too. Although it was a long time ago. It does happen!

I know someone who cycled into the back of a parked car. It was after that her parents thought a trip to the opticians would be a good idea. She started wearing glasses soon after that:biggrin:
