My daughter has just left after 10 years in the Army. She saw a lot of the world and had a great time!

And we're going off-roading!!!
Having a light lunch then off to the local woods for a wee ride!!

REME - Excellent. My son was in REME as a helictopter tech until recently. He was a sergeant and his training set him up for a good job with Sembmarine SLP in Lowestoft. Another nephew is a Captain REME, another nephew in AAC and the third is in Coldstream Guards. The army can set you up for life if you take everything on offer.

Absolutely! My daughter was a musician with the Blues and Royals for 10 years, her husband is a farrier with the same regiment and he's in for the full time. She left because of her two little boys but she has had a brilliant time, playing for the Royal family in various palaces and for the Trooping of the Colour, abroad in places such as Saudi Arabia, Germany, Austria etc.
Fingers crossed my lad gets in!

I've looked at joining the Army as well. Though I'd do my University education through them and then give them back the years in service, probably go in as a Public Affairs Officer (PAO) in the Media Corps here in the Canadian Forces. Either that, or Int Corps.

Ooooh sorry!
It went well but he has to go back in January for a fitness day...according to his BMI he needs to lose a stone.
If he does that he will be recommended for selection.

There's only one intake per year for his chosen job (in March) so fingers crossed he makes it in time

My personal opinion is that they are knocking everyone back to see if how you respond. My one nephew was put through all sorts of hoops before being accepted for AAC. Your son must just reckon that this is his selection hurdle and prove to them he's up for it. Tell him good luck.
