so much for taking it easy this week! got involved in some SCR this morning and after towing a hybrid for a while i left him on a sector (strava) and managed to hold a 23.2 MPH average over the 2 mile sector! i'm now ranked #5 for the sector!!

i feel so chuffed!!! lol lets see how long i can hold it for!

i'm down in cornwall in a few weeks so wont be able to do this segment regularly. the main problem with it is a blind chicane that you can only safely take at 10-15 MPH otherwise i would have been faster!!! lol.

im gonna blast around two segments i know the newquay velo club run through by my inlaws soon, see how i measure up!

This sounds awesome, I'm getting it! Wonder how it'll be for London with the classic short bursts between lights and the big-ass busses in the way.

Dangerous -it's very big in London.:hello:

Up 'ere it's mainly used on 'real' climbs and a few descents. I've got a KOM for one descent. The tricky bit is it's flat at the top and bottom so a good sprinting start, watch out for a busy cross roads, then an early aero tuck, plus a flat out end section. I got it before using Strava, but it will upload all saved rides on your Garmin, which is cool. Then it all goes down hill as you keep trying to beat your best and feel like xx( in between segments - Good training though. You can also tell when folk have had tail winds, or they are on a motorbike !!!

you need to log a ride/route then you can use a slider to set the beginning and end of a segment.

I've got loads of KOM's, about ten

Mind you, there are hardly any cyclists near me. Most of those are on my commute against only one or two 'opponents'.
