Hi I'm just starting out on a road bike as I need a lighter bike to travel to a distance of up to 100 miles a day. I cant decide between a Cube Axial WLS GTC Pro Carbon and a Giant Avail composite, I can get both for a similar price as they are 2014 models. I have heard that at longer distance the Giants are more comfortable rides- is this right????

:welcome:

Comfort on a bike depends on a lot of things. What one person finds comfy, will be torture for another.

Having said that, Giants are well regarded as a comfortable ride, I have no complaints on that with my own ones, and there are many on here with Cube bikes that are very happy with them. There is no substitute for a test ride to see which one fits you best.

I haven't tried either of the bikes but for myself I am looking at the new Trek Silque which is meant to be amazing.

@jefmcg has done 10k+ miles on her alu. Avail, never heard her complain about comfort...and that included 1000 miles in a week or less

Go ride them decide which works best for you, comfort will be down to which fits you and suits you best

You can't trust me, while I've done 1100km in 4 days on the upper bike, I've also done 120 miles overnight on the lower one.

But the giant is more comfortable!
