I read of some woman who was suing her nephew after an over enthusiastic 8 year old hug caused her to fall and break her wrist, leaving her, she said, unable to even hold an hors d'oeuvre tray.

I know where I'd put the hors d'oeuvre tray so it wouldn't wobble.

It was a 12 year old, and the claimant lost. You have to remember a lot of the law suits you hear about in the USA are attempts to get the defendants' insurance to pay the claimants' medical bills.

Edit: He was 8, but 12 when the case was settled.
