And now had enough for the day. Widget orders coming in all day, a breakdown on the machinery tonight, posting out consignments with an overnight carrier this evening, and another full evenings work tomorrow.
I have the opposite problem. Don't have car at the moment so forced to use the bike for everything. This is fine but even though I'd ride anyway, somehow the enjoyment has gone a bit now I'm forced to do it.
Well, I managed to ride in today so pleased and feeling better for it...surprising just a few days off can make you feel like an old crock though.
It will be another long day for sure as I've got about 5 hours of widget making in front of me this evening, no day job tomorrow though
Yep. Between work going nuts, extended family going nuts, me trying to avoid going nuts, and taking up some other interests that I can do for fifteen minutes as and when cycling has taken a back seat since I came back from my summer holiday.
Manic lives we live eh Greg ..I'm looking at the hill challenge maybe tomorrow which I did last weekend According to Strava, only 12 miles, but climbing 800ft in 3 of the the first 6, and half of that were cat 3 and 4 climbs...We have actually got a few hills like that around here but is nearly did me in last week end
I know it's easier to say than do, but some form of physical exercise becomes more important not less as you get busier. As cyclists we're probably uniquely blessed in that we can do that in otherwise wasted commute time whereas others have to look harder to steal gym time or workout time from other priorities.
But don't skimp it, that's not long-term sustainable or even medium-term sustainable
