I've seen that in Manchester but with a broken down pickup and four trams behind it. I've seen the same thing in Hamburg with bin trucks being blocked by bad parking. They make a quick call, a tow truck turns up in minutes and lifts the vehicle out the way, no doubt incurring a hefty fine too.

When the metro link opened in Oldham, it runs along a street much as that one with a lot of takeaways clustered at one end. They had to park a traffic enforcement car in the opposite lay-by for weeks as people quite blatantly still parked up to go into these takeaways. We had a pic in the local paper of one car that thought it would keep out of the way by parking diagonally across the pavement from kerb to shopfront.

I think selfish moron should be recognised as a genuine medical condition that can see your licence revoked immediately

Here's how to deal with cars parked in the wrong place.

Here in Luton, with our 1 year old guided busway, there is still the occasional idiot who ignores the signs which say "Guided buses only", ignores the second warning sign, ignores the narrowing of the road to a funnel area with metal guide lines, ignores the big car trap half full of gravel, and then tries to drive through, normally resulting in 2, sometimes 4 wrecked tyres, damaged wheels and suspension, a tow charge and a fine.

Sometimes they claim their SatNav "made" them drive down there. Which is an interesting excuse, seeing as the busway has never been a public road, having originally been a railway line which ceased running in the 1960's and has been closed off since then, until re-built as the busway.

Probably from Derby. We regularly block Brian Clough Way, but can't hope to keep 'em all out, obviously.
Oi!
If she was from Derby, the one way system would have swept her into the Victoria Centre car park, the most expensive car park in the history of the universe.
