I finished teaching on the 17th and won't need to be back in until the 5th now.
That gives me plenty of time to get some real work done, weather permitting.

I finished teaching in Warwickshire on Friday. Got a phone call that afternoon asking me if I would be free for Mon, Tues as Leicestershire hasn't finished till then. Got 1 more early get up and wait for phone call (I'm a supply teacher) then off till 4th of Jan, Training day. I'm booked then till, at least, Easter.
September and October started off cr*p but it has picked up for the rest of the year and well into next. As I've got a regular school to go to I might start biking in the 12 miles. Just got to get fit for the hill up the last mile past lots of kids shouting at me to "get off and milk it" or whatever it is they shout nowadays  .

I finish at 5pm tomorrow, and will not let work cross my mind (apart from waking at 3am each morning, grinding my teeth, sweating profusely, thrashing about and screaming "Come on then you b@stards, who wants some, eh????) until 6th January.

I've been off since Friay afternoon and am not expected back until 3 January!

But they've just tried to call me in for tomorrow "as a favour".

But I told them to get lost!

Well done Mort - it's troopers like you that keep things ticking over.

I changed the christmas holidays at work yesterday so i wouldn't have to go in today

I've just done an extra day today  . In the New Year I'm working for Warwickshire, who broke up last Friday. At 10 last night I got a call to go into a school (I'm a supply teacher) in Leicestershire. Another £100ish for Christmas booze presents  .
