spent about 10 mins looking for my car/house keys this morning before it dawned on me...............i started the car earlier outside on the drive to defrost!!!!!

its a bit of a risk leaving the car engine running outside the house,but we are at the end of a quiet close so i just risk it,I remember the poor woman last year on the news who was run over by her own car trying to stop her car being stolen.

Very risky, though, even in a quiet cul-de-sac: you'll be completely uninsured if someone gets in and drives off.

I read in some areas it's classed as an offence to leave your car running with keys in it
