The weekend beckons. I'll be off to my favourite festival at Knockengorroch. For once overnight frost is not forecast and my national dress fits again after my weight loss. I am going to get so wasted.

I thought you'd given up chains for belt drives.....

Enjoy the festival - very nice tartan. I'm part of the Macfarlane clan and we have some great tartans, although I don't possess a kilt........yet

It's a very appropriate tartan - Black Watch

I too am a MacFarlane descendant as in McFarlane-Lang biscuits on my mother's side. I wasn't too taken by the MacFarlane tartans apart from the hunting tartan and it's not available in low maintainance/low cost polyester. A decent 100% wool kilt is a tad too pricy to sport and festivals and other wild occasions.

At one festival, women were offering me a pint to have a look up my kilt.

I didn't disappoint..........

Festival lady : "Is there anything worn under your kilt ?"

Vernon: "No - it's all in perrfect worrking orderrrrrr"

Damn.... sunnyjim beat me to the "is anything worn?" joke.

What a dashing fellow - I bet you get all kinds of ladies throwing themselves at you, eh Vern?
