ahahahahhahah I would have laughed away....!! But then I'm probably crueller than you - there's all types out on the road aren't there WW?

OT but I just got an email from the club I finally joined - do you fancy heading up to Hillingdon cycle track one of the weekends?

no rush - we got all the time in the world! I'll post in informal rides to gauge interest.

What happened to your knee? Sorry to hear that!

I'm not sure I can make Brighton- November and December are busy months unfortuantely - I read that the last ride was eventful!

I honestly did try.

He He...Sounds like that scene from "life of Brian" when all the centurions are desperately trying not to laugh at the "bigus-Dickus" name..

I can picture it now…..WW sitting on the lights, bright red face, Shoulders jumping, staring straight ahead with watery eyes!!!:biggrin:

Fella a few weeks ago tore through the red lights loads of us were waiting at at juction of hight st Kensington outside whole foods. Even the RLJ's were waiting as the light faze was just changing - fella tore through then lost it as his entire crank just gave up and fell too peices! He just kept up-right and cruised through the juction whilst drivers had to wait for him. Actually a liitle to dangerous to laugh but I didn't stop to help - or pick up some bits of his bike.

Bloody hilarious in retrospect though (knowing no one was injured of course).

it's all that super flash Gordon type mentality - his bike just couldn't go faster than lightspeed so conked out on him

Saw same myself last week. A chap was following then over took me. He was one of those with all the gear... all new gear too..and no idea, changing up and down the gears like buggery... hmm I thought.. must be new to road bikes. Approaching red at traffic lights.. he scooted up the inside.. stopped.. then went over.. disappeared between the cars stopped at the lights.. he jumped up rather quickly looking very sheepish.. "You all right?" I said.. he replied with a flustered "Yeah, it was the kerb".. Lights changed he went to move off and his chain come off... I just cruised round him with a smile..
