it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, and i doubt anyone would pay that sort of money.

it's not going to be much good at filtering in traffic.

Just get a velomobile - not only is it actually a practical pedal cycle, but it'll be far faster than any upright bikes, excepting the most extreme of hilly or heavy traffic environments.
