It seems that a lot of people's PMs have been imported as unread - which is causing problems when new PMs come in (they're at the bottom of the list and not easily accessible).
To save everyone having to go through hundreds of messages marking them as read I've run a couple of database queries that have applied the "read" status to all unread PMs for everyone - so you'll need to check your inbox when you next login to make sure you've read your latest messages.
This is a one-off operation and PM "read/unread" status should work normally from here onwards.
