It's not just they play the same 10 records over and over again - the presenters are the most irritating numpties known to man. Unfortunately it's the station the least people can be bothered to argue about, so ends up on default.

I really will have to try and listen in a bit more to Radio 6 - someone said they still play Crass!! But the radio suffers immensely now that Peel has gone and when I switch on the damned thing and hear lyrics like 'She's got a hurricane in the back of her throat and she thinks she's made of candy,' it makes me despair somewhat and give up...

The analogy I'd give for mainstream radio is like an insect or spider that is an unwelcome hindrance which needs to be thrown outside (though that may have something to do with Robbie Williams, Beyonce and all the rest of the so-called artists that plague it).

I love that 6music includes old Radio1 sessions in their playlist; there's plenty in the archive!
