I have several flat caps, a black one and a grey one for more formal attire, and a tweed pattern one for dog walking and work. A train driver should always wear a cap. I also wear a leather waterproof Australian bush hat for dog walking in the rain and a cycling cap for, well, cycling. I like hats/caps. I also think women look especially classy wearing a hat.

I wore a flat cap for several years before meeting my missus, but she made no secret of the fact that she didn't like it one bit. Not long after we got together it mysteriously disappeared. Hmmm. I have tried various new ones since, but none of them have felt quite right.
