Aah, how easily a great act is forgotten, but for one hit… …but additionally for me Down In The Park stands the test of time.

As an illustration of that sad fact, my bro saw Gary Numan last year supporting Elton John or somesuch equally huge act at Blickling Hall.
When Gary Numan came on, a voice to my bro's left was heard to shout 'Play Cars and fcuk off!'

When he's in front of an appreciative crowd it's a different matter. He was brilliant at Sonisphere last year, and the applause he got for his cameo appearance with Nine Inch Nails at the O2 in '09 was both loud and genuine (I'm somewhere stage left)....
