Whenever I hear of sad, bitter, maladjusted young men, wasting their talent writing computer viruses, or of criminals downloading trojans onto your PC to get hold of your bank details, it amazes me that there are people around writing free software for anyone to use. Apart from all the Linux distributions, there are all the applications, such as Open Office. What's more, they're generous enough to make versions work on Microsoft. I was stuck for Paintbox type rendering system the other day. I investigated GIMP, which I thought only worked on Linux, installed it, and it worked a treat
