I love those guys. Second time I've hired a car there. Usually in my group at other airports I get a Kia Ceed, Ford Focus, Citroen C4, Citroen berlingo, I've even had a Mercedes minibus! But Rome is different, Rome is stylish.
My first time a month or so a go I drew lucky, among the zillions of Fiat Pandas and Puntos, I was offered a Mazda MX5 for my 2,5 hour trip through the mountains. After my Berlingo in Belgium at the beginning of the week (nasty) I was looking forward to a Panda, but no! I was offered a Fiat Doblo or.... a Peugeot 408 convertible!
It was a hard choice....
Seems most going to Rome want a small car for the city and anything else is too big or nickable. For me heading to the Adriatic it's perfect (even though it was only 8 degrees C but sunny.

Only problem is that it's white... This morning I gave my colleage a lift to the factory, 5C but we had the roof down. At a roundabout on the edge of town the Polce were inspecting traffic and were clearly talking about us. Now my Italian's not much good, but I reckon they said "Look at those English gay-boys in their hairdressers car"

Ahhhh, La Dolce Vita!
