This is a cycling forum. Just buy a handlebar bag with a shoulder strap. I've got a small Ortlieb one.

Yes, but many other topics are also being discussed at length. Anyhow, show us a picture of the one you have with the strap.

Some off us don’t want to look like a cyclist when we are off the bike. Again this isn’t that hard as some of don’t look like a cyclist even when we are cycling. 😳

I do have several identities.

The only bag on my bike is the front bag with the tool kit and so on.

One of those is the time when a man bag is handy. Usually travelling, as a way of keeping all the tut together.

Then there's my professional me, the laptop in the anonymous rucksack

The cycling me has the front bag and jackets and tops with the usual back pockets. But if I'm just going to the shops you might see me with the man bag. £7.50 from China, doesn't look worth mugging me for it.

It's also probably illegal. If women are allowed handbags, then it is sexual discrimination to not allow for men.

Some years ago I remember some cinemas would search any bag a man had with him to make sure you were not bringing drinks and food in

But they could not demand to search a woman's handbag so there were quite a few young women with large bulging bags (stop sniggering - we know who you are!!!) with bloke that were totally unencumbered!

they seem to have stopped that now - probably due to complaints

My wife got me a small man bag for holidays

It was great - meant I had a secure place to keep the things we needed but didn;t weigh my trousers down
as it was a tour we had a lot of stuff to carry round - such as itinerary and timescales as well as passports and money
