I remember seeing a TV show a number of years ago that featured a Range Rover, IIRC, that could show videos on the screen in the centre of the dashboard which, at first seemed odd. They then showed what the driver could see on the same centre screen, which was the usual GPS or whatever. They had managed to get some kind of grid on the screen that allowed them to show different things depending upon what side of the car you were sitting.
