In praise of the Bombardier Q400

FlyBe your local airline too? The Dash 8-Q400 is one of my favourites too - just wish the overhead bins where a little bigger. Fast, quiet and reliable - I'm sure FlyBe's ontime performance has increased since they joined the fleet.

Oh, and the fuselage is built in Belfast (I think) - a local aircraft for my local airport!
FlyBe use them for their regional flights - certainly the majority of services from Belfast City are in Q400s.

They may also use them for thin routes - I flew from Birmingham to Perpignon in one back in 2004 or 2005 when they were still using BAE146s and RJs.
