Inappropriate songs for children to sing

Being a parent, the TV is mostly stuck on the kids channels, like it or not

As a result, I find myself constantly bombarded with toy and music adverts every 15 minutes

One advert in particular has me a bit worried - the Kidz Bop 2018 CD - a compilation of chart hits, sung by children.

My feelings of "who would I possibly hate so much - that I would buy then this ?" aside, I find the idea of children singing the words of some of these songs a bit disturbing.

For example one child on the advert singing a song by Calvin Harris : "Don't be afraid to catch feels"

Is it me, or is that a bit inappropriate ?

Nothing to worry about. It just means don't be afraid to let someone have feelings for you. Perfectly innocent.

You would be hard pushed to find a nursery rhyme that would be deemed acceptable if it were released today, sometimes modern music is not that bad.

Any of the blasted Peter Rabbit ones, although at least with iPlayer you don't get the adverts. Having seen the Kidz Bop one, I know exactly what you mean!

As an uncle I was wondering what stooopid present to buy the nephew this year to wind up my sister. That CD looks just the ticket.
