It wasn't a commute but I confirmed today that I'd probably be useless in an incident. I was coming from the north turning right at the Tesco DEX rab and a blacked out rangerover shot onto the rab without giving way. Fortunately he saw me at the last moment and slammed on his brakes and it was reasonably dry so his skid was reasonably short (now I remember why I'm primary there, that extra couple of metre probably saved my life) he stopped inches from me. Anyway a witness followed me in the DEX housing estate to check if I was OK, that was nice of him. I think he was a bit amazed that I was quite calm and I thanked him and waved him on. Thinking about it now I should of took the witnesses details and tried to get the 4x4 driver charged at very least of having dodgy blacked out windows which probably illegally reduce his visibilty but then again as there wasn't any contact thanks to a few inches the police wouldn't have been interested.

I've been in a similar situation (poor driving and heavily tinted front side windows) and didn't bother reporting it, now I'd be minded to make an issue out of it.
