I don't see how that works, given the picture.

Normally they're-

Channel 1 - rotor power (up/down)
Channel 2 - differential between upper and lower rotors (left/right)
Channel 3- vertical facing rotor on tail (tail up and down - forwards and backwards)

The one in the pic has a horizontal tail rotor (turn left/right) and twin main rotors. I'd be interested to know why as they both serve the same control function, and I'd also like to know how it does forwards/backwards.
Mine had the horizontal rear rotor, spinning one way it would pull the tail up and cause the helicopter to fly forwards, and vice versa.

I think (probably wrongly) that the multi channels are needed for collective pitch helicopters. On those, as well as throttle, you can alter the pitch of the rotors which is how they can invert and pull of those incredible stunt maneuvers (google 3D RC helicopter to see what I mean)

I am now the owner of an S107 :hyper:
Shop didn't have the 4-channel one I was looking at and the only other 4 channel one I thought a bit large for the lounge.

First flight went well. On charge now and should be ready for flight no.2 imminently

It's my Birthday next week and I'm dropping strong hints for a RC Helicopter

The Mrs cant understand though why at 49 I want a new toy

There was another 40 something bloke stood in the shop queue behind me with a larger helicopter in his hand this afternoon.
The queue consisted of the two of us.

There can be only one track to play whilst flying the helo. This

(As a bonus that version also acts as a timer for battery endurance)

That brings back a slightly sad, but also happy memory for me. I found a DVD of Airwolf for my late boyfriend for his birthday, and he was so excited. I'd never seen it but it was one of his childhood memories. We watched it together, and agreed how hilariously bad it was, especially the badly speeded up shots.

Before I clicked the link, I thought it was going to be Ride of the Valkyries from, whatever that 'Nam film was...
