Anybody got one?

I bought mine a few months ago and can`t get on with it, in fact I hate it.

Not only did I have to replace all of my cookware which was nearly as much as the cooker, but the thing is a pig to use, the pans buzz which is irritating and it only seems to do full warp or nothing, there is no range in between.

I replaced a halogen hob for this contraption, thinking it would be better.....ummmm NO!! Seriously thinking of going back to that, it was much better.

How do any other owners find them?? I`d be interested to hear:popcorn:

Got a gorenje when the halogen suddenly cracked end to end after use a while back. Wonderful thing. There's a quiet buzz on high power and a really soft intermittent buzz on lower settings, but you don't hear it if the food is sizzling or simmering. The reaction speed almost rivals gas, but you can program it and the rest of the hob stays cool. I'd get another if not on gas again. Halogens are awful, slow and hot to touch for ages.

All our pans were induction ready, except for the wok, which is annoying. I haven't found a ceramic or stone lined wok that is induction compatible.

Ours is a Neff. Replaced a Halogen hob and we find it miles better. Much quicker and easier to control. Never noticed any buzzing at all.

It has revitalised my interest in soft-boiled eggs. Until we got it I couldn't be bothered with the time it took to get the water up to boil. Now it's chucky eggs all the way

Induction is a bit too Star Wars for me.

I prefer playing at being Fanny Craddock on my ageing gas rings.
