Nothing beats peat flavoured soda bread.

....can still picture my gran making soda bread, then cooking it on the open range - loved the smell of burning turf.
Cabbage, bacon, spuds boiled in their jackets, all in the blackest pots you ever saw........the memories come flooding back.... :smile:

I use the Camipng Gaz stove for charred aubes. Never seen a steel aubergine.
