Planning for a long ride next summer. So i would like to go to my fave place ,beyond Buckden to Langstrothdale but it's at least 120 circular trip and too much for a 62 and 69 year old in a day.

So i thought Bus to Buckden then cycle to Langstrothdale and back home. But i cannot find any info if the bus goes anywhere near Leeds Otley Ilkley.Where we could get on.
Can you help.?

Apparently, new buses have been introduced on most of the routes that the Bike Buses used to cover. The only one left that does bike carriage is the Nidderdale Rambler.

My advice would be to take your bikes on the train to Skipton and start from there. You could do a nice Dales loop and then catch the train home, either from Skipton or one of the stations on the Settle-Carlisle line.

I wanted to join a BikeRadar forum ride starting from Settle but wasn't fit enough to ride to Settle and back. I reduced my total distance for the day to about 75 miles by cycling to and from Keighley and using the train to handle the section between Keighley and Settle.
