England move up 4th best team in the world!

Another fine bit of work by FIFA.

We're better than, Brazil, Italy and Argentina now and have risen a place by dint of the riots causing our friendly with Holland to be cancelled.

A few more riots and games called off and we'll be world champs.

Not really that reason. The FIFA rankings are based on a 12 month rolling cycle, so it simply means the teams that were above us have had a few of their "good" results removed as they fall outside of the 12 month period. Ditto for Spain, who were at the top but now see themselves behind the Dutch; Spain's good run of form that got them to the top is now beginning to be a year old so they have slipped back as more and more games get removed from the ranking cycle.

All now join me in a silent prayer that the England football team (effectively a third division side that once had a lucky cup run at home) never wins the world cup again. We would just never ever hear the end of it and the repeats would never be off the telly!
