Hello.

I'm only here because I fell off the toilet.

I have been a runner for the past six years but am constantly injured. Bought a bike to keep the fitness up in-between injuries. Nothing fancy really, A Merida Road bike.

This time (August), I really did a number on myself and after four lots of cortisone, I still have plantar faciitis. Again, I picked up the bike but this time it was different. Little by little, it was becoming more favourable to running.

I have even invested in a turbo and have done quite a bit of work on it. Not once has it been a clothes horse!! Seriously.

However. It looks like the fresh air will not be an option for the foreseeable as over the weekend, I managed to fall off the toilet, braking my hand. It is now in a cast. There *may* have been alcohol involved.

I've been off work for the past two days and I'm bored to death. Today, I googled turbo training whilst in a cast and I discovered you guys.

So. Hello

Will be attempting a small session in the morning......

Welcome Di Di.

Don't do any more cortizone for Plantar fasciitis: time, some ice, foot exercises, and NEVER walking barefoot are your only answer for that. Forget running whilst you have it, and it can take 6 months to cure. Your feet won't stop you cycling, but a broken hand will.

Oh, and falling-off-the-toilet-drunk..............unless you are a very slow learner you'll not drink that much again.

The biggest joke, is I've just bought some new overshoes

I KNOW! I'll get someone to squirt water in front of my fan whilst on the turbo.

Sorted. :becool:
