Thought I'd post a little update on my injury sustained last December....caused by a SMIDSY car driver....
Had MRI's a couple of weeks ago, and EMG (nerve) tests yesterday. The EMG test results are immediate, although a report has to be written up. The EMG test's concentrated on the nerve signals in my arm - i.e. from elbow through to hand. Guess what.... perfectly healthy...(infact very good) phew..no carpel tunnel syndrone....
So...that points to nerve damage in neck or spine that's causing arm pain and finger tingles, as well as the AC injury in the shoulder which is totally seperate (or so I've been told).
The other good news, I have a cheque on the way to cover some more of my physio costs, which sort of points to the fact that the third party's insurers are co-operatative, phew !
Just got to wait till the reports get back to the specialist, go back to see them, and then see what's the score. TBH I doubt they will do much, other than advise that it will take time to recover - it's not as though this is an acute problem - lots of far more needy people out there.
