I am going to buy a Specialized Tricross Sport and sell my Specialized Secteur Elite. My question is would I be able to use my spare innertubes I have for the Elite on the Tricross even though the tyre is wider? The Elite is 700x25 and the Tricross 700x32.

Depends what it says on the inner tubes.

Probably not ok - 700x18-25
Ok - 700x25-35

Basically if the width of your tyre fits in the numbers after 700x, then you are good to go.

I've used undersized inner tubes before without any problem. I would think you could get away with fitting 25C tubes in a 32C tyre. I probably wouldn't fit them in a tyre much bigger than that though.

Oversized inner tubes are more of a problem because they make it harder to fit the tyre back on the rim.

By the way, I have some Panaracer tubes that are rated for an unusually wide 18-32C range, so I suspect some manufacturers are a bit conservative with their ratings.
