I happened to see a Dahon curve on the train this morning and it had a similar mount on the front stem - a raised area with three (instead of 2 on the Brompton?) holes that were filled in. Apparently this is for a Klickfix handlebar mount, which can then be used for most bags that use this mount (which is quite a lot).
I wonder how hard it would be to adapt the Klickfix mount to work on the Brompton? Looking at the Dahon stem markings, it might just be a matter of drilling some new holes.
There used to be someone in Germany on the Bromptonauten forum that did some sort of adapter but he isn't contactable anymore.
Has anyone tried this? As there are some interesting bags available for the Klickfix system that I wouldn't mind trying .....
