1) Drafting: can give you an advantage but actually you shouldn't do it on public roads
2) Pedal properly
3) Use gears properly
4) Stand up to go up hills, unless you don't want to
5) Look behind you
6) Buy a map
7) Don't wear jeans.

Interesting, considering the only drafting Hoy did was behind the derny!

Most of us around here know all the stuff mentioned anyway, but are we to expect a surge of people buying clipless and sitting on our rear wheels?!?!

I have to say, I'm definitely going to make an effort to get to the track in the next year....Halesowen is the closest to university, but the uni CC goes to Newport or Manchester for a day twice a year.

One of the guy's (Richard Gent i think) in the comments section of that article has recomended using WD40 for lubricating moving parts ;)!

Good point - I forgot about that....

They could have at least put a bigger picture of Hoy in the article instead of several of the pursuiters!
