Left handed normally but use to play squash and badminton right handed and would throw the occasional left handed shot in to confuse people.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
The only things i do right Handed are using scissors and carving meat. I shoot left handed. Sleep on the left hand side of the bed and I have to stand on the left side of people not on their right. I can write right handed, But its just as bad as my normal writing which is left handed and not very good.

I can right with both hands, following an accident (see above) and had to sit my 'O' grades in a separate room with a tape recorder 'just in case' my right handed writing was not up to speed and couls dictate my answeres instead lol.

im ambidextrous to a degree but as above ,poor hand writing either way..
ive broken both arms so forced practice applied..

I suspect the number of left handed people is higher than reported as I personally know of a number of people, not to much older than me, that were actively discouraged at school to use their left hands.
Yes my elder sister and i are left handed and she was often cracked across the knuckles at school for writing with her left.

I'm right handed but eat and play golf left handed.
I will sit on the fence and watch
Smacked over the knuckles by a nun. Funny how I developed a stutter that disappeared when I was allowed to write left-handed. Mind you I play gold and bass right handed with no problem. Squash I have to do left-handed, but I'm predominantly right footed.

l am right handed, but naturally do some things left handed (which apparently others find difficult) without any thought whatsoever. I can also write left handed to a degree if I need too, but.... I am a lefty with my feet - For as long as I can remember, I have started peddalling a bike with my left foot for example. I got into trouble for this when doing my cycle proficiency test at school as apparently you are only meant to power away with your right, its the law or something, and that from a teacher who was left handed too!

I have a stammer sometimes, never ever had a stutter though.

Intresting how most of us only write left handed..

I suspect that that is only from who has responded.

Right handed but the first thing I do at a table is change the cutlery to left handed, seems quite natural to have mine the opposite to what is the norm.
I take great delight in changing everyones while they're not watching :giggle:...then watch them look, frown confusedly, then replace them correctly.

Sat in a nice relaxed holiday resturaunt once and changed my cutlery, so carefully laid out, to left handed. The waiter smiled and swapped them back, i immediately grinned and returned the favour. We both grinned at the unspoken sillyness of it ^_^

I have never had an issue using 'normal' tools and utensils as it's all I had available. You just adapt and find a left handed method that works for you.

When I was 14 I fell on a broken Irn-Bru bottle severing nerves and tendons in my left hand. It was two years before I could really begin to use my left hand again and it's amazing what I developed techniques to be able to do with one, non-dominant, hand in that period. To this day I can still tie my showlaces using only my right hand, something I find impossible with my left .
OT...
I have a signed programme form Billy Connolly back in the early 70's

It simply says "Bru Kills" and signed

Perhaps he was right

I'm tempted to learn to play golf and tennis left handed. I reckon it'll be easy. All these "I was mentally scared and became a sociopath because I was forced, forced I tell you, to write right handed"-types are having us on.

I kid you not, I am actually considering startng to play curling left handed to complement my left footedness more in a variety of different ways when playing :blush:
