Couldn't get the link to work. Why did you take a screenshot of the picture instead of linking the picture itself?![]()
I think this shouldn't be being discussed by the OP on a public forum!
The OP has a responsibility to carry out his duties impartially and the very fact he is talking about the case here, to what could fairly be described as a biased community could be said to be undermining his position.
Carrying out my duties impartially, whatever my point of view is very much what happens on a day to day basis. It's called professionalism. Despite being on the side of the cyclist, I would never dream of not fully investigating the offence. Making sure there were no mitigating circumstances such as the cyclist not displaying lights, riding recklessly etc. Trust me I would prosecute a wrongdoing cyclist as quick as a motorist. There are quite a few cylists around Peterborough that have jumped red lights, ridden on the road without lights after dark etc that can testify to that.I think this shouldn't be being discussed by the OP on a public forum!

As long as I am not putting specifics down such as names and vehicle indexes, I am not undermining the case
That would be a bit harsh... I'm a cop not a secret agent. The opening post was merely a light hearted comment about something I was dealing with.. trust me, I wouldn't be talking about it if there was a possiblity that harm could be done by doing so.I personally think that in your position it might be better all round if you didn't talk about work outside of work?
I would hope for nothing less! It's just that your opening post could be construed as suggesting you were using this case as an opportunity to dish out some revenge on behalf of your fellow cyclists. I personally think that in your position it might be better all round if you didn't talk about work outside of work?
