Saw my second one today....

Seem to be getting more popular with serious commuters. Both I've seen have been on flashing, leaving a flashing pool of light in front.

I tend to see Hope and Exposure most out of the decent lights, but most have cateyes in the bulk of things.

I think I saw one this morning....as I was waiting for the bus

I saw him coming from a couple of hundred yards away, and could clearly see it lighting up the road, even though it was 7.45am and quite light.

It was hanging from the bottom of his left drop, and it had a separate power pack strapped to it.

I could see much more detail as I was dazzled by looking straight at it ;)

Could that be one?

Got one for Christmas, well, a reboxed one called a "Lumilite". Haven't had a chance to take it out on a commute yet, but will give it a go this week and let you all know the reactions....

900 lumens for 75 squid......luvverly!

I usually spot the illuminated on button on the back of the unit as I overtake the riders.

Most lights I see are the crappy ones, so when you see the good ones, you take note !

This is a good place to ask this question. What's the common view on using the strobe on DX torches? My head says wrong wrong wrong, but my heart says, f@@k it.

Me too ! I have the MagicShine on the handlebars, with a cheap halfords one on flash. And on the helmet a Fenix LD20 usually on Turbo (180lumens). If Im negotiating something where I feel particularly vulnerable such as a roundabout Ill put the Fenix on strobe.
