Irlam Locks Closed

The Irlam Locks crossing of the Manchester Ship Canal has been closed "for bridge repairs" for two days. It's a popular route for peds and bikes.

I have searched the web and Twitter but can find no details of the closure or expected completion date of the works.

So, be warned - it's shut!

Just had a look myself and it is open again. Can't believe the only way to get info on it is a Facebook page :/
