Very interested to read about the remake of Monarch of the Glen, one of my all time favourites. But dismayed to hear that they are filming it in Ireland !! I hope at least some authentic Strathspey and Badenoch scenes are shot as well.

I'm glad they're not filming at Ardvreckie. There's a massive hydro scheme going in there soon and I'm hoping to get a couple of trips up there before the Lochan na erba get merged.

Are there CC rides in Scotland?

There used to be. I remember organising one many years ago, the "3 ferries" route. Wemyss Bay, Gourock, Dunoon, Colintraive, Rothesay, Wemyss Bay. Others were organising rides too, even tours! I remember Islay being one, and Glasgow to Inverness another.

Sadly they seem to have stopped happening for whatever reasons, and most of the members who were involved have also drifted away from this forum.
