If I tell you, I'll have to you ... not really 
.I need to check out a bit of Musselburgh for a quiet route to take some ladies for a wee ride in a couple of weeks and not get lost
... which is not very far. Once the job is done, I'll just go where my wheels take me , it looks like a nice day to meander into East Lothian. I might even take the camera 
. If anybody wants to come along or meet up for a wee blether, you need to shout within the next 10-15 min

managed to drag myself to a half ton after 45 miles with @tug benson . 85 miles would be a good total in summer, im setting my standards too high too soon!

Headed out East Lothian to Tyninghame. Great cafe there (Smithy's). http://app.strava.com/activities/110677965
Normally it takes me just under 2 hours for that 49-50km, so when I knocked 20 mins off that on the way out - freewheeling most of the way - it was a bad omen for the ride back!
I just took it easy on the way back, hid in the drops, and the wind didn't seem too bad.
Musselburgh sorted, carried on to Longniddry and back home via Samuelston, West Saltoun and the Pencaitland railway path - some very big puddles there! Otherwise easy - wind had dropped quite a bit by the time I turned into it 
. Not a drop of rain, some lovely light , but I didn't stop to take the camera out 
. I got home just as the last of the light went, luckily I had packed the lights . About 60k?? haven't got a computer on the bike, will have to do a map to find out for MCL purposes ... EDIT: 70k exactly

With a 30% chance of rain, and strong winds forecast, I'd reconciled myself to another stint on the turbo this afternoon; an hour and a half of staring at the wooden shed walls and listening to my heroes of the '70s while running up and down the resistance scale. But then, to the south, I was almost sure that I could see a dim but brighter spot behind the cloud cover, and that was enough for me - gear on, bike out, and a very windy run down to Kilmaurs and back. Heading south on the Stewarton Road, into a strong and fishtailing wind was trying, to put it mildly, and I'd promised myself that I would bale out at the Clunch road if necessary. But it wan't, though my average speed, normally 20kph over a run, was struggling to make 14. From Stewarton, it was the unclassified, but excellent, road that runs parallel to the A735 and, attractively, misses out Kilmaurs itself. It includes a fantastic long, arrow straight downhill, which was totally wasted today, and while I didn't actually have to turn a pedal, it wasn't far off. Then it was over to the A77 and back up the road, in theory with the wind behind me, but we all know what that means, and down through the Mearns and home. And not a drop of rain fell for the entire journey.
Turbos certainly have their place and I'm glad that I have one, if only to motivate me to get the bike out and get moving

Yes finally got details on Saturday and turns out i may have embellished the incident slightly....didn't actually go over car bonnet, only travelled through the air "for a few metres"
Hopefully get legal advice tomorrow and start the ball rolling.

Been told off for a convo on page 64 so won't be posting in this thread going forward. Getting told off for chat on a chat forum I find bizarre, and if I can't comprehend it, it's best I avoid it. Enjoy your irn bru!
