I didn't rent a bike in Athens in the end, as spare time was just too short after the work stuff finished last night, and I wanted to walk up some hills where I'd have had to leave the bike behind ...
Got up at 6am Athens time for the 2nd time this morning (4am summer time, or 3am GMT
) to fit in some high-speed sightseeing before heading to the airport. Now completely shattered 
, off to bed shortly.
Before I forget, the EdFoC night ride is shaping up nicely, but if I tell you the details, I'll have to kill you

. Have just worked out my one week on/ one week off rota for my new job. Sods law: I am working on the day of the Arran trip, and also the weekend of the Islay tour. My attendance at both is now in jeopardy, but not writing off my chances just yet.

While me, I've worked out that since my department was demolished last summerAaaargh; that's a Friday night and I'm working on the Saturday
and now have no (work's) fixed abode, can attend as many cycling events as I like ... ermm ... can afford .... ermm .... can manage hills of ...

... not quite the same as a bit of , but not bad either ... looks like the sun will be in short supply over there for the next few days, with cloudy days and thunder storms/rain alternating.Yep, will feel the cold in the morning, having got used to +18C for the last few days, but it's uphill all the way, so will definitely warm up

I'm beyond wind bothering me now.
Have just fit the bike rack, and washed the cube ready for my Glasgow trip tomorrow am. Have a massive fear of it falling loose on the m8 now now just need to amuse myself for a few hours while it gets sorted, transport museum & a walk around town getting soaked , or out o the cycle show and end up with stuff I dont really need.......
