The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
And sic a night he tak's the road in
As ne'er poor sinner was abroad in.

The wind blew as 'twad blawn its last;
The rattlin' showers rose on the blast;.
.........
That night, a child might understand,
The De'il had business on his hand.

Be careful out there folks, keep clear o' the haunted kirks:smile:
Wait a sec till I fire up Google translate ...
It says "E'molto ventoso./ Mucho windio."

I'm mad but not stupid, think I will get the sherabang they call the Number 23 bus to work this morning.

In typical Scots, that is a hoor o' a wind oot there!

BBC are saying the strong winds are here to stay for A WEEK!
I've yet to venture out and check for damage.
You'll be needing some extra ground-retaining equipment - for safety, of course ...

Sod this. Agency work would appear to have dried up, and not likely to pick up any time soon. I'm thinking an Edinburgh Cycle Co-Op bike bag (currently discounted) might be a good investment. Cheap holidays to Cyprus also available just now .....

Didn't hear a thing last night. I'm starting to think this flats actually a nuclear bunker
Not necessarily - it's maybe because you are:
  1. working so hard that you are sleeping well
  2. getting so much exercise and your body needs to recover - hearing included
  3. too much  - but on a weekday ?? :headshake:
  4. pardon ? pardon ?? pardon ??? when did you last have an audio-gram done ?
  5. in a sheltered spot behind a nice big wall or leaf-less trees
  6. none of the above - it's a mystery

I hardly hear my neighbors at all , think I am in Scotland's only well built new build block of flats. If someone didn't use my wheelie bin now and again I would think I was the only person here

Audio gram was last year, my hearing is only limited in soft spoken voices, not massive gusts of wind and :rain:
