Sorry, no vitriol meant ; maybe my unique (aka strange!) sense of humour doesn't translate well on a forum . It was a twist on an old non PC joke: What kind of food puts women off sex? "Wedding cake"!

No rain here; and very little for at least a month now ; maybe I'm suffering from withdrawals. Actually I've wasted most of the good weather by painting the outside of my house, a total PITA of a job. Finished it today though .

Yes, hasn't rained heavily for agers here either: I did more gardening in October than I did in the summer. Maybe because in the summer I have been riding instead, and getting wet

Aye, that was the panic to get it finished before the weather breaks! If we had had anything like a reasonable summer it would have been done months ago. Had to laugh at all the neighbourly comments along the lines of "you're certainly getting the weather for it!" As if I would be out painting the outside of the house in any other weather .

S'pose I'd better get the bike out for a ride tomorrow then; see if I can remember how to ride it!

Actually I was a bit confused: I'd seen you "out of contest", matters not helped by a very busy morning, started to have that "I'm a robot" feeling.
My brain was saying "Col? Wot? Why? I'm at work, not riding, 'tis not the bike show ..."
Then I remembered it was the wedding show

I thought that tbh, did seem to take a while to click exactly why you were working and why I would be there Least I don't need to go to another one and we did book a VW campervan for our wedding so it wasnt all a waste of time

We had a stretch limo (well it was New York, it would have been rude not to!) and the whole wedding party (10 of us and one of them was the photographer) fitted in it
