Those of you who are confused by his apparent flippancy simply haven't taken the trouble to analyse the text - there's a whole realm of meanings, inferences, linguistic devices, cultural references and self-subverting aporeia in there.

The smartarse bit I can live with and I'll get all you nobbers what voted yes, this owing a pint bit is a bit off though, I left slightly early due to being offered a lift from whatsisname and I left a tenner to get some beers in, I gave it to the Big O. So.
