The UCI is not so pure when they claim they want pure DF bikes. They now allow the fantastic plastic wonders, the Carbon Fiber bikes that are molded into aerodynamic shapes.

Maybe that is because again mfg put pressure on the UCI to accept CF bikes because the mfg make huge profits on them. Purity would indicate that pure acceptable racing bikes should have plain round tubes.

What are you trying to prove?
You asked the same questions elsewhere, and got nowhere.

They are still very much the basic shape though.

They don't allow the ones with single blade "forks", or the type without a seat tube (both of which exist, but are not allowed in UCI events).

I don't think they have ever specified what material the frame should be constructed from, and don't think any pressure would have been necessary for them to allow CF bikes. They DO limit tube shapes to some extent - you can't have them so deep that the front triangle is effectively solid, for instance.

I don't think unicycles are allowed in a UCI sanctioned event either.
But, as he's already pointed out, he's a trike rider, not a bicycle rider.

Are you sure?
