Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
As above I use it primarily for the postage. We live in a very rural location, so it's invaluable. The TV service included is an added bonus. It's not brilliant, you have to pick and choose, but considering what you get for the money it's fine.

I tried it and the deiveries were rarely quicker than the free option. The order value for free postage has crept up since then so if you often need something less than that value and cannot wait it might be worth it.
On the other hand I find a google search typically throws up the item cheaper elsewhere, or it may be cheaper direct from the manufacturer and the Amazon offer is actually their mark up on top of that.

Yes........if you're married to Mrs P 🤣

Definitely worth it to cover delivery costs and if you want quick delivery. Delivery is usually in 24 hours and from time to time the same day. We have an enormous Amazon warehouse and distribution centre 15 miles from home. The video service is a bonus.

My daughter really gets her money out of it. Mind you there are 3 of them plus me. Service is amazing.
I would have it if I didnt have use of my daughter's.
If its not been said I believe you can order food off it though I have no details.

Prime is great for our household, neither of us particularly enjoyed going to shops in person before we both ended up with long covid and since then (just like Tesco delivery), it's been a godsend. We used to stream the video content quite frequently, but we started a Paramount sub at Xmas and are currently working our way through the vast Star Trek content that is new to us (Discovery, Strange New Worlds, newer seasons of Lower Decks).

Got it one December for Christmas deliveries (a long time ago now!), forgot to cancel, but have stuck with it ever since. I watch a lot of films on it, and I like the next day delivery when I need it. Suits me, and is affordable.

My friend Miss Goodbody, who lives on the coast, reports that her delivery guy often seems to shake and listen to her deliveries. It stems from that time one of her packages arrived buzzing inside its box. 🤔

I believe it is. We buy quite a bit around Christmas time, not so much during the year, but it’s always delivered next day, sometimes late the same day. I enjoy the Prime video too and I don’t miss the monthly subscription.

I buy quite often from Amaz*n, but I'm in no hurry for delivery (I'm an organize person lol) and there's always something I can add for the minimum charge.
I discovered that if you pick collect from locker (mine is 10 min walk away from home) some items are free of postage charge.
I've no nee of the video service, so, no, for me it's not worth it.
YMMV of course.

Count your deliveries for a quarter or year and add up the estimated delivery charges. Add in your own value for prime tv (it might be 0). There is your answer.

Bloody mathematicians.

Always spoiling a really entertaining endless-speculation-and varios-opinion- from-a- million-angles thread.

That's why you don't get invited to dinner parties.

To be honest, im struggling to get a reliable delivery of anything around here. My missus sent something back to a clothes shop that she ordered online, and using the 48 hour returns label for Royal Mail and it's been 9 days and has been stuck at a regional sorting office for 6 days. I will give Amazon their due, they do have a well functioning delivery service that seems to be second to none nowadays. Worth it for that i think.

I recently got Disney plus free from Sky for some reason. It is terrible. I spent a while looking at it and couldn't find one single program that appealed to me. Not one. There were a couple of possibilities in the movies section but even there they seemed to have curated a huge library of samey looking straight to video tripe. Oh well, it's free.

My wife has Prime Video. She finds things to watch on. it. I don't think I ever have.
Have you tried Last One Laughing?
First ‘series’ was very funny (imho).
Just started the second: decent cast!

We as a family share the subscription, & although I try to find direct alternatives, inevitably a number of things come via Prime 🤷‍♂️
Worth it for us 👍

It is worth it, but be careful with it.

It purports to offer free next day delivery, but when you get to the checkout page, it sometimes adds in a cost for fastest delivery (i.e. next day). You need to change the radio button to free delivery - which is still next day.

Also check further down the results list - sometimes you can find the same item considerably cheaper if you are prepared to wait a few days.

For me it's worth it for the delivery alone. Lots of stuff we'd struggle to buy in town at a reasonable price, plus we'd have to pay to park. And you have the easy returns option if something isn't right. For the prime TV, it's ok, possibly worth the money. You can always get a free trial or pay for one month then cancel, and then see if there's much on there that you'd watch

We use it mainly for delivery. TBH it's even better value as my son uses my account for deliveries to his home also, and Amazon don't mind. There are a few things I'll watch on Prime.
